|12.09.2013 Business breakfast and seminar - how to reduce manual work and save 5000 EUR?|
Last week Telema organized a morning seminar in Vilnius explain the latest electronic data interchange (EDI) solutions. After Riga, this was a second event in the successful morning event series this year.
Lithuanian executives, IT and finance managers were invited to a business breakfast at hotel "Europa Royale". The aim of the event was to evoke discussion on how to save time and make organizations' processes more efficient.
The seminar gave an overview of the EDI trends worldwide and in the Baltics. Rūta Narutavičė, Telema Country Manager in Lithuania talked about EDI implementation models and introduced a simple calculator to measure the resources that EDI helps to save over time.
Other seminar topics explored the following subjects:
- what are the different ways to collect customer orders
- how to eliminate boring data entry
- is it possible to order products through one web portal
- why to use mobile devices for merchandising
- can the ordering process be turned upside down
- how to save annually 5000 EUR and many more.
All those topics were discussed from retailer as well as supplier point of view. To address most specific questions and explain targeted solutions the second part of the seminar was held in parallel sessions. During the event nearly 40 participants shared their experience, asked questions and were assured about EDI benefits.
