For the last 22 years, Estonian e-invoicing and EDI operator Telema has mainly focused on the Baltic market. In reality the company’s services have users all over the world. During the last 3 years, clients from more than 20 new countries have joined Telema. The total number of countries where Telema services are used is now over 60.

Most of Telema’s clients are trade and logistics companies enjoying the benefits of electronic data interchange. EDI creates value, regardless of company size or turnover. For large companies, EDI significantly reduces the workload related to data exchange and speeds up processes. To local smaller entrepreneurs EDI serves as a door opener, enabling them to offer their products to larger retail chains.

“Companies’ awareness of how useful electronic data interchange (EDI) and e-invoicing are is constantly improving. Also, Telema is making its contribution by introducing automation possibilities to a wider and wider audience. We are gladly going to universities and conferences to share the best practice of automating supply chain information flows,” explains Telema CEO Hele Hammer.

Today, more than 2,000 customers use Telema’s services. Over 21 million e-documents moved through Telema in 2021, nearly 13 percent more compared to the previous year. The 60th country in Telema’s portfolio was Tunisia.
